Training consists of “kata”, a set of specific techniques designed to teach the art’s principles. We supplement the waza (techniques) with henka (variations) that allow us to focus on the gensoku (main principles) that are exemplified in the waza.
In addition to Hakkoryu jujutsu there is also a strong emphasis on learning Koho Shiatsu (Imperial finger pressure therapy).
Class sizes are small and the focus is often customized for those in attendance.
