The Hakkoryu Hakko Seishinkan Dojo of Ashland, Oregon offers instruction in Hakkoryu, a traditional form of Japanese Jujutsu as well as Koho Igaku Shiatsu (Imperial Finger Pressure Therapy).
The head instructor is Kaiden Shihan Sandaikichu Steven R. Glaser. Shihan Glaser began his study of Hakkoryu under the instruction of Brian Workman in 1982 and received the rank of Shihan in April of 1992.
The Japanese phrase “Seishin Kan” translates to “The foundation precedes the castle”. As our name suggests, our focus is on the postural fundamentals of relaxation, buoyancy and weight.
